The Montshire Museum's offerings includes:
- 110 acres of woodland and nature trails along the Connecticut River. The trail system connects the Appalachian Trail, which runs from Springer Mountain, Georgia, to Katahdin, Maine, and to a local north-south Greenway trail that extends south of the Museum to Wilder, Vermont. Montshire's trails are easy to walk for people of all ages and fitness levels. The trail system is also the setting for many outdoor activities, and offers an opportunity to encounter wildlife while still at the Museum. Fox kits, grouse, bear, moose and deer are but a few of the many animals that have been recently spotted.
- Summer Camps that focus on helping children ages 4 through 8th grade explore the outdoors.

The Norwich Farmers' Market is open Saturdays, 9am-1pm, May to October, on Route 5 headed south from Norwich. The Norwich Farmers' Market also offers a Winter Market on various weekend days during the winter.

The Co-op Community Garden is located on Route 5 South from Norwich, and has twenty 20'x20' plots available for members of the Hanover Co-Op to use for a fee. Send an e-mail for more information.
