Greg Norman Gile Mountain Trail Improvement Project

In early August, a crew from Timber & Stones, led by Josh Ryan, arrived to help make eroded sections of the Gile Mountain Trail more durable. Thanks to grant support from the Vermont Recreation Trails Program, portions of the Gile Mountain Trail located above the powerline will receive extensive improvements this summer and fall. Anne Bower Tai chi classes this summer

I'll be offering two tai chi classes this summer. 

   Tai chi for arthritis & fall prevention starts Friday June 24th at the Bugbee Center in White River Junction, 10:30-11:30.  Seven sessions for $35.

Greg Norman Introducing the new DHMC Community Garden

Grab your gardening gloves and get ready to dig in the dirt. The Dartmouth-Hitchcock Child Care Center has announced it is offering organic garden plots to DHMC staff and physicians. Greg Norman Aspiring Olympians to Coach Indian River Running Program!

Youth attending the Indian River School next fall will have the chance to participate in a new Cross Country running program coached by the In the Arena NH Team, made up of experienced running coaches who are training for the 2012 Track and Field Olympics in London!

 

The program will start in late August and end in mid-October, with practices from 3:15-4:30pm Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

IRS 6th grade health class 5-a-day beaded braclets at Indian River School

While our younger brother and sisters are busy trying to reach the peak and we are trying to move our 5 counter beads on our bracelets everyday. Last week we made anklets, zipper pulls or bracelets with 5 colorful beads to ensure that we are eating at least 5 servings of fruits and veggies everyday.
