Upper Valley Healthy Eating Active Living Partnership
The Upper Valley HEAL Partnership, hosted by the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock, links and supports community members and organizations working together to build a community that embraces healthy lifelong habits of 4-season physical activity and good nutrition.
Upper Valley HEAL is one of four communities in the State of NH funded to create a comprehensive approach to reduce the increase in overweight/obesity by addressing policies, practices, and communications of towns and cities, health care providers, schools, child care and after-school programs, recreation programs, workplaces, and food vendors. We have a special focus on Lebanon and the five towns forming the Mascoma region, though many of our projects serve a broader area.

Funding for UV HEAL is provided by the HNH Foundation, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation, Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare Foundation, Endowment for Health, and New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. HEAL NH, a project of the The Foundation for Healthy Communities provides statewide leadership and technical assistance for NH’s HEAL Initiative. The Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock hosts and provides financial support for UV HEAL. Tags:
