The Hanover Street School in Lebanon will be starting a "Walking School Bus" on Friday, October 23rd, and be available every Friday through the first Friday in December.
The Walking School bus will provide an opportunity for children attending Hanover Street School to walk as a group, escorted by parents or school-affiliated adults to increase safety. Hanover Street's Walking School Bus will meet kids and parents at Colburn Park at 7:15 Friday Mornings, then walk together to the Sacred Heart School and "pick up" students living in the neghborhood surrounding Sacred Heart. Scott Bouranis, hanover Street School's prinicipal, will join the Walking Bus at Sacred Heart, then walk with students to school, arriving approximately 8am.
This is a great opportunity for Hanover Street students to get out and be active before school. If parents have questions regarding the Walking Bus, please contact Kathi Blain at the Hanover Street School for more information.
